Raised floor equipment

Raised floor is being used in cleanroom design which purposely to provide better ventilation, avoid great humid environment and provide ground work installation. Besides that, it also designed to be modular, and to be distribute all load evenly on the panel, minizing deflection and lateral movement.

Raised floor mainly divided into two types, aluminum and steel. Boths types of raised floor can be divided into perforated and solid plate. Perforated plate is mainly applied into the high end clean room since it provides good ventilation. Good ventilation means high Volume Air Change in the room. Good ventilation can prevent the growth of micro organisme and fungus.

The surface of the raised floor is coated with types of materials which are PVC tile and HPL tile. PVC tile is more roough than HPL (High Pressure Laminated) tile. HPL tile is manufactured through a high press process to combine many layers of material. PVC tile is done by combines different material by insert one of the material to the others.

To select which types of tile being used is based on the required conductivity. There are three types of conductivity, conductive, static dissipative and anti-static.

Raised floor is widely used in data center which required good ventilation to protect the server in the data center.

There is one big manufacturer is doing this raised floor equipment is VERO Technologies company. Raised floor equipment comes with pedalster, stringer and brazing rod. To select the raised floor, we mainly considers the load that the raised floor can support. Four important criteria to look into are uniform load, concentrated load, rolling load and ultimate strength. These criteria should be tested based on the standard of CISCA (US), JIS (Japan), RAL (Europe).
